Deep breath.

Here we go!

And by the way... if you feel that you can, please consider donating to help me get across the country. I will be taking self-portraits and will happily sign one and send it your way for any donations over $20. Thank you!

Big Roadtrip!

Why hello, and welcome to my little nook on the internet.

My name is Heather (though I do have an alias that I like to keep hush hush - so please help me keep it that way on this blog) and my profession is freelance modeling. Nude. I'm an artistic nude model and yes, this means I remove my clothing and allow photographers to take photos of my nude form. I've been doing this for three and a bit years now and I have to tell you... it kicks the sh*t out of working retail (which I did for four and a bit years) and out of working as a web developer for a company listed on the Fortune 500 (which I did while going to school AND working retail). Why is it so great? I am my own boss. No one tells me where to be or when - so my schedule is entirely between the photographer and I. This job has lead me to meet some incredible people - celebrities, musicians, artists, and other inspirational beings - a couple of whom approached ME and revealed that they were in fact fans of MINE whilst I had been a fan of theirs since childhood! What a trip THAT is! When the perks begin to find their way to you, it's quite difficult to leave it behind.

I travel a fair bit with modeling, and it occurred to me that my experiences could probably be beneficial to other traveling models. That's what lead me to Blogger and to set a bit of a stage so that any interested parties may watch my progress.

All that said... I'm going to be setting off for the west coast of Canada, hitting all major cities (and anywhere photographers may wish to hire me) along the way at the end of this month - only days away! My car? 'Herbert', the black 2002 Pontiac Grand Am - my new baby! My trusty steed.

I'll do my best to get a new post up each day during my roadtrip.

Please, feel free to get in touch as I will be checking my email often on my phone when I have reception. I'm available at thetravelingmodel@gmail.com. Feel free to get in touch regarding bookings, or even just to ask me questions you might have! I'll do what I can to reply in a timely manner!

Cheers,
Heather
